Vintage 40's Catalina 'Bali Isle' California Hand Print Two Piece Swimsuit 36. Another fine example of a late 40's Catalina California Hand Print swimsuit, please take a look at the two other womens suits we have listed from this collection. This suit dates to the mid 1940's. Scenic print of a palm studded shoreline along the front modesty panel against a light green background. Underneath the modesty panel it reads Catalina 'Bali Isle' California hand-print. The back of the bottoms and the top are done in a spruce blue green satin like fabric. Light color transfer at front waist. The top has an inner tie between the cups that allows for adjustment. There are side stays and the top ties in back. The shoulder straps are adjustable at the front and back and can be completely taken off if you wish to wear it strapless. The top has a cuff of the spruce green fabric along the top of bust. Elasticized leg openings.
The blue green fabric (back) has two way stretch, while the light green fabric (front) does not stretch which gives the suit is fit. The back of the bottoms closes with a metal zipper and an inner placket. The bust is lined with the same light green fabric. The bottoms are lined in front and the gusset liner is plastic. Label reads Catalina reinforced with Nylon for extra strength. Size 36 for weight 125/140. There is one very tiny faint spot on the front of the top, otherwise swimsuit is in excellent condition.
