Vintage 1964/65 Black Cole of California Swimsuit. This swimsuit made waves with it's debut in 1964. Margit Fellegi designed this suit for Cole of California in 1964. It created a scandal and was aptly named the "Scandal Suit". The swimsuit features a black mesh net that is incorporated into a deep V neckline. Balance of suit has 4 way stretch and is a black double knit nylon spandex medium weight fabric. Low scoop back. Boy cut leg openings. Bust is lined, padded and lightly boned. Gusset is also lined. Swimsuit is in excellent vintage condition.
