Vintage 50's Jantzen Rib Knit Orange Swimsuit with Diving Bell Swim Cap 14. This suit is so unique and has a matching covered swim cap to match the suit. The cap is labeled Jantzen Diving Bell and has the inner ribs around the circumference of the cap to keep the water out. Cute Bow at top of cap. The swimsuit has a unique bodice with a strap that threads through the center front which makes the shoulder straps. Straps are attached at the back bodice with adjustable metal hooks. There is a center back metal zipper closure with an inner placket with hooks and eyes. The bottom of the suit has white ribs in the knit. Elasticized leg openings. Bust is unpadded, but lined and boned. Gusset is also lined. The knit fabric has two way stretch. Suit is in excellent condition. No fiber content tags. Most likely a cotton or wool blend fiber, very soft.
