Vintage late 30's 1930s or early 40's JANTZEN Mocha Brown textured Swimsuit bathing suit, size 38. Gorgeous and well preserved for it's age, this Jantzen beauty dates to the 30's. Features the Jantzen embroidered diving girl on the outer leg, and a self fabric tie that gathers the top of suit at center back for ease of fit. There are no cups in this suit or any lining. Shoulder straps are adjustable and can be worn as shown or adjusted to over shoulder. Very cute metal slides with bow embossed in the metal slide itself. Modesty panel in front. The fabric is a knitted wool or wool blend with some inherent stretch to the weave. Fabric also has a nice square design woven in to create interest. Swimsuit is in excellent vintage condition. No holes or damage noted. No fiber content labels.

Label reads Jantzen, made in USA. S.F. Iszard, Elmir N.Y. Iszards, now closed, was once a popular department store.
